Gay and Lesbian Alliance (GALA)

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance (GALA) of the Central Coast reflects the rich social life of the LGBT community in San Luis Obispo County. GALA is committed to ensuring a healthy and vibrant network of social gathering groups, events, business resources, and educational services for its constituents. GALA’s mission is through education, support, recreation, advocacy, and partnerships, we will promote the well-being of our LGBT community.

The Queer Crowd

The Queer Crowd is a group of progressive weirdos, queerdos, radicals and intellectuals organizing to encourage a more consistently confident, colorful, egalitarian and engaged community. Through political action, enlightened thinking, activism, art, music, workshops, reading groups, etcetera and what have you, we are here to facilitate, ignite, incite and call for change.

Cal Poly Pride Center

The Cal Poly Pride Center supports and advocates for the unique academic and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual, and pansexual (LGBTQIAP+) students to promote personal growth and success. We empower and retain LGBTQIAP+ and allied communities on campus by cultivating a culture of care and providing welcoming and inclusive spaces for all members of campus to explore issues related to sexual gender identity.

Lesbians Who Tech (SLO Chapter)

Lesbians Who Tech + Allies is a global community of over 30,000 LGBTQ women and gender nonconforming people in tech. Promoting the visibility, leadership and education of their community, LWT has chapters in various cities throughout the globe. The San Luis Obispo Chapter meets up regularly, usually the last Wednesday of every month.

QCARES

Queer Community Action Research, Education & Support (QCARES) was developed to bridge the gap between research about the LGBTQ+ community and the LGBTQ+ community itself. We use community-based participatory action research to engage with individuals across various underserved communities as we seek to understand common challenges and develop innovative solutions.

SLO Queerdos

SLO Queerdos is dedicated to bringing the Central Coast queer community closer together by promoting #Love #Family #Art & #Party!

Tranz Central Coast

Tranz Central Coast (TCC) is the trusted point of contact for transgender people, their families and allies, and the community at large. We help people access resources, get support, and obtain the highest-quality information in their pursuit of authentic self-expression, including the freedom to alter their bodies and change their gender roles.
