Be Part of the Queer Archive Project

The Central Coast Queer Archive Project (CCQAP) is a collaborative, community-based, volunteer effort tasked with documenting LGBTQ+ individuals’ experiences of the California Central Coast region. For SLO Pride 2018, the Queer Archive Project needs your help! They’re celebrating the ways that queer and trans folk have found love, support, and strength together on the Central Coast. Here’s how to be part of the Queer Archive Project.

Step 1: Take a Photo

Take a photo that showcases the friends and family who have helped you survive and thrive on the Central Coast.

Step 2: Post it on Social

Post it to Instagram or Facebook and tag it with #chosenfamily, #SLOPride, @CCQAP.

Step 3: Submit Your Photo to CCQAP

Upload your photo by clicking on the SUBMIT YOUR PHOTO button on the CCQAP page. Entries that meet the thematic criteria will be entered into a drawing to win tickets to Pre-Pride events, including the Pink Party on July 3rd (Courtesy of SLO Queerdos) and the Pre-Pride Drag Show on July 6th (Courtesy of GALA).

Step 4: Come to CCQAP Art After Dark

Come to the CCQAP’s Art After Dark event on July 6 at the SLO History Center to learn more about the Queer Archive Project and see the CCQAP showcase of Central Coast chosen families.
